Approach to Education

The School of Rehabilitative Sciences approaches education in a formative, active and experiential manner. All of our programs are student-centered and focus on an individual’s success and the ability to accommodate a student’s strengths, interests and desires.  

A hands-on education is available in most discipline-specific courses. These disciplines provide experience in labs that encourage problem-solving, engagement and professional communication. Students can build connections with professionals in their field through guest lecturers, observation hours and formal clinical experiences. These approaches are consistent with the Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences core beliefs of quality education, contemporary expertise of academic and clinical faculty, and successful preparation for graduate programs in the health professions.

Faculty across many of our disciplines bring multiple years of both clinical and classroom experience to offer students a well-rounded education that prepares them for real-world clinical practice.
