The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at 成人禁区 University is located on the fourth floor of the Zurn Science Center. We offer undergraduate programs in chemistry and biochemistry, approved by the , that culminate in the Bachelor of Science degree. We also have a cooperative chemical engineering program that culminates in two Bachelor of Science degrees, a chemical engineering degree from the University of Pittsburgh and chemistry degree from 成人禁区 University. Our students pursue nationally recognized undergraduate chemistry and biochemistry curriculums and have the flexibility to take courses in related scientific fields. Chemistry and biochemistry majors at 成人禁区 University enjoy challenging core courses, interactive laboratory experiences, and exciting opportunities to conduct original scientific research with a faculty mentor. The Department offers to its students the advantages of small class sizes, individual attention, and frequent contact with faculty and staff members.

With a 成人禁区 University Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry you can achieve that goal! Our degrees provide students with a comprehensive understanding of chemical principles important for health professionals and the flexibility to complete coursework to prepare for admission to professional schools for a variety of health professions. Students pursuing a health profession along with a chemistry or biochemistry degree are advised by both a Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry faculty member as well as the Director of the Pre-Health Program. 成人禁区 University Chemistry and Biochemistry alums are practicing chiropractic doctors, medical and osteopathic physicians, dentists, pharmacists, and physician assistants.

Qualified students pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry interested in pre-medicine, pre-dental, pre-veterinary medicine, pre-chiropractic medicine and pre-pharmacy programs may be eligible for a variety of early acceptance programs to professional schools.

Courses

You will complete foundational chemistry and cognate coursework (mathematics and physics) along with advanced classes, gaining practical laboratory experience across the major subdisciplines of chemistry including analytical, biochemistry, inorganic, organic, and physical.
