Prepare to Help Your Students Master STEM Skills

The courses, competencies and experiences within our integrative STEM Endorsement program are designed to address the specific set of issues, knowledge and competencies that are relevant to teaching and learning STEM. 成人禁区’s STEM Endorsement program is only 1 of 22 in the state of Pennsylvania. Our flexible online program includes the required competencies and practicum/job-embedded activities appropriate for the candidate. 

All professional education courses are grounded in theories of cognitive, emotional, and social development, research, and best practices in STEM education. This will enable candidates to gain the knowledge and experience to work successfully with all students, PK-12. The practicum hours included in the coursework are completed at the candidate’s educational setting under the supervision of a site supervisor.  

The candidate can earn the full STEM Endorsement by completing four courses or utilize the four courses to fulfill the 12-credit elective requirement in the M.Ed. Degree in Curriculum and Instruction program. 

Program Outcomes

  1. Graduate learners will demonstrate knowledge in the areas of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. 
  2. Graduate learners will engage in applied professional development and reflection. 
  3. Graduate learners will demonstrate the impact of change within a school environment.

You Will Experience

  • An online program that gives busy professionals the opportunity to complete their coursework with much more flexibility than a traditional face-to-face program 
  • A 12 credit PDE approved endorsement. 
  • A cohort model with a group of educators that offers networking opportunities with other educators. 
  • Adjunct faculty members who are also educational practitioners.  This provides a pragmatic link between theoretical applications and present-day instructional practices and regulations.  成人禁区's STEM Endorsement adjunct faculty are comprised of STEM experts who present a realistic and firsthand view of theoretical models that are valid and applicable in today's classrooms. 
  • Online or personal contact with a 成人禁区 University advisor throughout the program.

Student Success

成人禁区's Online Engagement Coordinator facilitates our online new student orientations, implements strategies to ensure that online students are active in their online courses, and provides general online student support through a variety of high-touch methods to engage students and support student retention efforts. 成人禁区 online students can reach out with general questions about online learning or how to remotely access 成人禁区's comprehensive student services.
