成人禁区 Scholarships and Awards

成人禁区 University offers a variety of scholarships, grants and awards in recognition of students’ academic and athletic accomplishments, demonstrated need and outstanding talents. These grants and scholarships are renewable each year based on criteria defined in our annual 'Important Information Regarding Financial Aid' (Final Award brochure) and related publications. The Final Award brochure can be found on our 'Forms and Documentation' page.  

The following is a list of the various types of institutional aid at 成人禁区.

Academic and Merit Scholarships/Awards

Scholarship/Award Amount Eligibility
Presidential Scholarship* Full Tuition Eligible candidates must apply and be accepted to the university by Dec. 15, 2025. The top 10% of accepted students by this date will be invited to compete in a scholarship contest with the ability to earn a full tuition scholarship. Details of the scholarship contest are included with students’ acceptance letters.
Academic Scholarship* Up to $26,000 Award amounts are based on academic merit as well as SAT/ACT scores. Students who perform exceptionally well may have the opportunity to increase their scholarship/award amount to receive the Presidential Scholarship.
Knight Achievement Award* Up to $23,000 Award is based on academic merit as well as SAT/ACT scores.
Maroon & Gold Award* Up to $17,000 Award amounts are based on academic merit as well as SAT/ACT scores.

Ohio and New York Awards

Scholarship/Award Amount Eligibility
New York and Ohio Opportunity Grant Up to $5,000 Available to students who are residents in New York and Ohio.

Diocesan-Related Awards (Roman Catholic Diocese of Erie, Pennsylvania)

Scholarship/Award Amount Eligibility
Diocesan High School Grant  $1,000 Awarded to graduates from the Catholic high schools in the Diocese of Erie, Pa. Transfer students qualify for this award.
Diocesan Parish Grant $1,000 Awarded to active members of a Catholic parish in the Diocese of Erie, Pa. Transfer students qualify for this award.

Additional Scholarships

Scholarship/Award Amount Eligibility
Athletic Scholarship Varies Based on demonstrated athletic ability; awarded by the respective athletic coaches.
Catholic High School Grant $1,000 Awarded to graduates from any Catholic high school in the U.S. (outside the Diocese of Erie, Pa.).
Legacy Scholarship $1,000 Eligible applicants are dependent children whose parent (mother or father) graduated from 成人禁区 University.
Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship $1,000 Available to incoming transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society at their community college, are a U.S. citizen, and have at least 3.0 college GPA.
Post-Baccalaureate Scholarship Varies Available to part-time students holding a baccalaureate degree and who are not receiving any other type of financial assistance.
ROTC Room and Board Scholarship Varies Awarded to winners of the three- and four-year designated Army ROTC scholarships (FAFSA required).
Schuster Memorial Music Award (requires a separate application) $1,000

The Schuster Memorial Music Award was endowed by William Schuster to encourage musicians to continue their creation of music at the college level. This scholarship rewards up to 15 qualified students for their musical ability with $1,000 awarded annually, with a total value of $4,000 available over four years at 成人禁区.

A prospective freshman, transfer, or adult student must:

  • Apply and be accepted for full-time admission to the University.
  • Sing or play a musical instrument (flute, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, baritone saxophone, baritone horn/euphonium, tuba, or percussion).
  • Return the completed by May 1.
  • Participate in the 成人禁区 University Concert Band or Mixed Chorus during the academic year.
Schuster Patron of the Arts Scholarship (requires a separate application) $2,500

The Schuster family and 成人禁区 University are proud to offer ten scholarships to qualified students who make written, performance or visual arts an integral part of their lives. William Schuster created an endowment for these scholarships in loving memory of his wife Frances, who was deeply committed to the arts. Students who are awarded these scholarships receive $2,500 annually, with a total value of $10,000 available over four years at 成人禁区.

A prospective freshman or adult student must:

  • Apply and be accepted for full-time admission to the University.
  • Return a completed by May 1.
  • Demonstrate support for the arts in many areas of his/her life.

NSF Scholarship Grant (SEECS) up to $8,000/year Through funds from the National Science Foundation, 成人禁区 University awards approximately 20 scholarships per year, each renewable for up to four years. Each recipient can be awarded up to $8,000/year, depending on awardee's unmet financial needs and available funds. Learn more about the award

Delaney Medical School Scholarship Fund Varies

Dr. James H. Delaney was a prominent Erie ophthalmologist who bequeathed $2 million to help make medical school a reality for 成人禁区 University graduates from Erie County Pennsylvania.

The Delaney Medical Scholarship Fund, through 成人禁区, has awarded over $3 million.

Awarded to students who graduated from an Erie County, Pa. high school and 成人禁区, and who enroll in an allopathic medical school; award is based on need.
