Policies

General Building Policies

  • All members must have valid member id card for entrance
  • Main entrance doors to be used by all members. Side entrance doors throughout facility for emergency use only
  • All members must be 16 years or older to hold membership of their own and or utilize facility on their own. Members or guests under the age of 16 years of age must be with a valid member who is 16 years of age or older at all times
  • Guest passes are available for purchase with a valid member who must be present with guest at all times in facility as their acting sponsor. Guest must be with a member that is 16 years of age or older at all times. Guest pass valid only day of purchase 
  • The RWC staff reserves the right to suspend, terminate or turn away any member or guest who do not abide to facility or campus policies
  • Non-marking & closed toed shoes must be worn at all times in all defined activity areas.
  • Appropriate top/shirt must be worn at all times; covers chest
  • Mopeds, bicycles, and electric scooters, with the exception of ADA designated devices are not permitted in facility 
  • Skateboards, roller skates, incline skates, shoes with wheels, and non-electric scooters are not allowed to be operated in the facility 
  • Personal music must be connected to headphones. No personal speakers are permitted throughout facility
  • Pets, with the exception of service animals, are not permitted 
  • Disorderly conduct, abuse of facility, equipment or staff, and/or disregard for the policies of the RWC may result in immediate dismissal from the facility. Additional sanctions may include: disciplinary action, fines for damages, potential suspension or forfeiture of membership and/or the forwarding of the matter to GUPD, the Dean of Students or President for judicial review or legal actions. These terms are under 成人禁区 University’s and the RWC staff’s discretion. 

3-Court Gymnasium

  • No food or beverages other than water or sports drink
  • No glass or alcoholic beverages
  • Do not hang on rim
  • No foul language
  • Proper gym attire and shoes must be worn at all times
  • Professional personal training permitted by GU training staff only
  • No unauthorized personal speakers

Cardio Floor

  • All members and guests who utilize the Cardio Deck must be at least 16 years old
  • All members and guests who utilize the equipment must be 16 years old
  • Appropriate athletic attire and footwear is required. No denim allowed.
  • Store personal belongings in designated areas or locker rooms. Do not place next to equipment.
  • Closed container drinks only (Water and Sports drinks)
  • Wipe down equipment after use
  • Cardio equipment is limited to 30 minutes per use when there are other members/guests waiting to utilize
  • No extra equipment permitted for use while using any cardio equipment (IE: free weights)
  • Be respectful to others while utilize equipment
  • Do not stand behind a piece of equipment while machine is in use
  • Professional personal training permitted by GU training staff only
  • No unauthorized personal speakers
  • No reservations of equipment are permitted and defined groups may not dominate the cardio floor. All machines are first come first serve usage unless otherwise approved per facility directors

Weight Area

  • All members and guests who utilize the Weight Room must be at least 16 years old.
  • Return weights to rack after use, and cable attachments to the equipment trees
  • Sanitize equipment after use
  • Use a spotter when lifting or as needed
  • Do not drop the weights. Weights may not be dropped within the weight room on the platforms or on the flooring.
  • No chalk allowed
  • Proper gym attire and shoes must be worn at all times. This includes closed toed shoes and shirts that cover chest.
  • Be considerate of others- allow others to work-in
  • Professional personal training permitted by GU training staff only
  • No unauthorized personal speakers
  • No reservations of equipment are permitted and defined groups may not dominate the weight area. All machines are first come first serve usage unless otherwise approved per facility directors

Indoor Track

  • Slower traffic keep left and pass on right
  • Approximately 10 laps = 1 mile
  • No food or beverages other than water or sports drink
  • No glass or alcoholic beverages
  • Proper gym attire and shoes must be worn at all times
  • No unauthorized personal speakers

Field House

  • No metal spikes allowed on turf
  • No food or beverages other than water
  • No glass or alcoholic beverages
  • No foul language
  • No spitting, gum, sunflower seeds, or candy on the turf
  • Proper attire and shoes must be worn at all times
  • Return equipment after use
  • Professional personal training permitted by GU training staff only
  • No unauthorized personal speakers

Pool

  • Use of the pool without a lifeguard on duty is strictly prohibited
  • All members and guests who utilize the pool must be at least 16 years old unless accompanied by a legal parent or guardian
  • All members and guests who utilize the sauna must be at least 16 years old
  • Prolonged exposure to the high temperature of the sauna is not advised
  • Appropriate swim attire is required; members and guests who violate this policy will be asked to leave
  • All users of the pool must rinse off prior to entering the pool
  • Gum and bandages must be deposited into the trash before swimming
  • Those who have open blisters, cuts, etc. are advised not to utilize the pool
  • All people that have a communicable disease or show signs/symptoms of a communicable disease which can be transmitted through the swimming pool shall be excluded from usage
  • No food or drink; water only
  • No glass, sharp objects, or any other items are permitted
  • Spitting, spouting water, blowing nose, or discharging bodily waste into the pool or sauna is strictly prohibited
  • No running on the pool deck
  • No pushing, shoving, horseplay, or inappropriate behavior is permitted
  • No diving in the shallow end of the pool
  • Backboard dives and flips are not allowed
  • Starting blocks are for Varsity Athletic Team usage only
  • No hanging on lane markers or pool rails
  • Individuals who cannot swim are to stay in the shallow end
  • During peak hours patrons must share lanes if need be

Fitness Studio

  • Facility request is required to reserve space or for internal organizations all requests are to go through Assistant Director of Facilities or Fitness
  • RWC programming, sport clubs, and Group Fitness classes have priority scheduling in these spaces
  • No food or drink permitted in the rooms other than closed container water
  • Do not remove equipment from Fitness Rooms unless otherwise permitted
  • Within Studio #4, equipment is to be put away after use. RWC Staff is to monitor this space
  • RWC staff or Fitness Instructor staff will set up or tear down for Group Fitness Classes
  • RWC student staff and Maintenance staff will clean and maintain these rooms. Student staff is to follow cleaning chart list on how to address these areas

Racquetball Court

  • No food or beverages other than water or sports drink
  • No glass or alcoholic beverages
  • No foul language
  • Proper gym attire and shoes must be worn at all times
  • No unauthorized personal speakers

Locker Room

  • Food, gum, or glass items are prohibited
  • Do not stand on the benches
  • Mobile technology is prohibited. Please refrain from photo or video usage in the locker room.
  • Running or horseplay is prohibited
  • Surfaces in the locker room(s) may be slippery or wet. Use caution.
  • Regardless of age, individuals are not permitted in the opposite sex locker room
  • All-gender and handicap accessible restrooms are available for usage. These restrooms are located in the lobby of the RWC fieldhouse, and by studio #4
  • Lock valuables in a locker
    • Day locks are permitted for usage. Please remove lock after your workout.
    • Personal locks are permitted to be used. Locks must be removed by that day's operating hours. Failure to remove the lock will result in an RWC staff member removing the lock and contents within the locker.
    • In the event that a locker needs to be emptied, items will be put in a secure location in the RWC and be held for 21 days.
    • The RWC is not responsible for any lost or stolen items
