Program Curriculum

This document provides a listing of the courses required for the MHA program, a brief course description, and a summary of the primary course outcomes and deliverables.

Students can enroll in the program either part-time, with an expected completion of two years or full-time, with an expected completion of one year (although this can be extended to 18 months without summer coursework). See the attached for a sample sequence of classes for both part-time and full-time students.

Stackable Credentials

Credits earned in the Healthcare Business Analytics graduate certificate program can be applied toward the 36-credit Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree.

The MHA program follows the Online Programs Academic Calendar set by Distance Education.

MHA Program Teaching Methods and Grading Policies

  • The MHA program runs in a student-choice format. Students can take instruction in the classroom, entirely online, or online students can attend as many optional weekly enrichment sessions through videoconferencing as they like.
  • The program is taught by 成人禁区 faculty and guest faculty, who are recognized and distinguished healthcare leaders and executives.
  • Project-based learning is a key component of the MHA. This allows students to develop necessary skills and competencies by way of practical activities and projects in lieu of traditional exams.

: Our academic membership with HIMSS allows students to gain access to cutting-edge health IT insights, webinars, career development tools, and a global community of healthcare innovators. Students in GMHA 606/Healthcare Information Systems and Technology sit for the Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CAHIMS) certification. 

HFMA Student Membership

: Explore the financial side of healthcare with exclusive content, certification opportunities, and connections to industry leaders shaping the future of healthcare finance. Students in GMHA 661/Healthcare Finance sit for the Certified Revenue Cycle Representative certification.
