Undergraduate Student Retention

During the 2024-2025 reporting year, the Applied Exercise Science program had a retention rate of 93%. This retention rate represents the percentage of first-time, full-time students who enroll in the program and return to the institution the following year. Student retention rate was calculated as students enrolled Fall 2024 to Fall 2025.

Graduation Rate

During the 2024-2025 reporting year, there were a total of 18 students that graduated from the undergraduate Applied Exercise Science program. There were 7 students that enrolled from this graduating class in the fall 2021 semester. 11 students transferred either from other programs within the university or from an outside institution. This came out to be a graduation rate of 250% for the four-year period.

Graduate Placement Rates

The Applied Exercise Science program had a 90% graduate positive placement rate during the 2024-2025 reporting year. The following was the criteria used for positive graduate placement/ graduated from the program one (1) year ago:

• Admittance to a higher-level degree program in exercise science or related program
• Employment in the exercise profession, allied health, or related field
• Military service

CSCS Exam Success

During the 2024-2025 reporting year, 1 student who graduated from the Applied Exercise Science program took the CSCS certification exam and 1 student successfully passed (100% pass rate). Since 2020-2021 when the AES program started documenting CSCS exam success, 7 total students have taken the CSCS exam, with 6 of those students passing the exam on the first try (86% pass rate).
